Outline of Project:

PFK Planning have submitted a Planning Permission in Principal application to Argyll and Bute Council for a holiday home development on the banks of Loch Awe. Neo Environmental completed environmental assessments required for the application to construct 13 holiday homes in the grounds of the Taychreggan Hotel.

Neo Environmental’s involvement:

Working with PFK Planning, Neo Environmental undertook numerous environmental assessments at the proposed development site which included an area of existing woodland extending to the north and west of the hotel and an area of existing pasture. The surveys undertaken by Neo Environmental included:  a Landscape and Visual Impact Assessment, Arboricultural Survey, Extended Phase 1 Habitat Survey and a Bat Roost Survey.

The ecology surveys identified bat roost potential within the woodland area, highlighting the requirement for further survey work during the construction phase. The planning permission in principle application was submitted in September and is currently progressing through the consultation period.
