Neo Environmental have just completed a post installation noise survey and plant assessment at a College extension in Slough. The assessment was sought to enable the client to gain the Pol 5 credit of BREEAM 2011.The survey involved monitoring the levels of the installed plant and the baseline background noise levels, to determine if the noise emission from the building met with the BREEAM criteria. On this occasion the noise from the building exceeded the BREEAM criteria, so Neo had to offer mitigation measures in the form of specialist acoustic enclosures around the plant, which will result in a 25dBA sound reduction. Once the enclosures are in place the BREEAM Pol 5 criteria will be achieved.

Neo also conducted Ecological works for the site including training on-site staff and constructing an ecological management plan.
