The archaeology team missed the good weather and had a far wetter time recently when they were out onsite in Northampton.

These are a couple of working shots from their site.
One showing very well-defined stratigraphy which is the result of previous 20th century activity (a plant nursery and various agricultural uses at this location) and one showing just how muddy it got after some torrential rainfall and thunderstorms!
